Did you know that Korcula is the birth-place of the worlds greatest explorer – Marco Polo? Why he would ever want to leave here is beyond belief. Its has beautiful secluded bays for swimming, charming villages, great food and wine. It is the very definition of idyllic. But one of the very favourite spots here are the impressive fortifications which hide a maze of cobbled narrow streets and amazing town squares. It is a perfect place to get lost for an afternoon – a feast for the eyes and my stomach.
