A small sample of the Kvarner Bay area but absolutely memorable as you cruise along this stunning coastline, swim and snorkel in the waters of Krk Island and discover the medieval walled town of Rab, known as the ’Island of love’ before arriving in historic Zadar. A wonderful taste of the northern Adriatic!
Day 1 OPATIJA - KRK
Begin your Kvarner Bay mini-cruise with a departure from Opatija harbour at 13.00hrs. After lunch on board, enjoy a swim stop in the crystal clear sea before continuing to the Island of Krk. This large diverse island has a variety of quaint villages, rocky wilderness and hundreds of hidden bays and beaches to discover. You will have free time to explore Krk town on your own. Take a walk along the waterfront where there’s a lively atmosphere and plenty of dining options for you to try. L
Day 2 KRK – RAB
After breakfast, continue your journey to Rab, often referred to as the "island of love". Located on the northern Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea, the island of Rab is also known for the old town of the same name and distinguishable by four Romanesque church towers that form a familiar outline. On arrival embark on a guided tour and try the famous “Rapska torta” cake, a traditional Croatian cake that originated from the island. While in town, keep an eye out for the many “open-air galleries" on the streets and squares where local painters and artists exhibit their works. If weather permits, we recommend walking up to Kamejak hill to watch a magnificent sunset. BL
Day 3 RAB – ZADAR
This morning cruise from Rab towards Zadar, via the island of Pag with its unique and unusual moonlike landscape. Along the way, enjoy a spot of swimming on the small island of Maun. Lunch wil be served on board as you continue on to Zadar, a city that has become the centre of the region. Upon arrival join a guided tour that will take you through the mighty city walls and by many heritage sites. Whether it’s the Roman Forum dating back to the 1st century AD or the church of St Donatus – the most famous medieval Basilica and a symbol of the city – you are bound to encounter the city’s rich cultural history at every corner. After the tour, it's time to say farewell to your fellow passengers and crew. BL
