Croatian Treasures 2020 (Split - Split)

DAY 1 SPLIT
Your journey begins with a shared arrival transfer to MS New Star where embarkation begins at 14.00hrs. Once settled in to your cabin, venture into Split’s historic Old Town during some free time. Tonight meet your travelling companions and Tour Manager at a welcome reception on board.

*Please note: Split city has a no transfer zone policy. If your accommodation falls within this zone, our local representatives will meet passengers at their hotel, guide them to the vessel and assist with luggage on foot.

DAY 2 SPLIT – KORCULA
Early this morning cruise to Korcula, an island rich in vineyards, olive groves and small villages. Arrive in Korcula Town, after lunch, for a guided tour (included in excursion package). As you walk through the narrow, cobblestone streets, learn of the town’s peculiar building pattern and the history of famed merchant explorer, Marco Polo, who was supposedly born on the island. BL

DAY 3 KORCULA – ELAPHITI ISLANDS – DUBROVNIK
Cruise to Elaphiti Islands with plenty of time for swimming along the way. Afterwards, continue to Dubrovnik, the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and a Croatian highlight. Enjoy lunch as you cruise along the Old City walls before embarking on a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Old Town (included in excursion package). BL


DAY 4 DUBROVNIK – MLJET
Swap limestone for lush vegetation as you depart Dubrovnik for Mljet Island, home to a spectacular National Park. Upon arrival, see the Great and Little Lakes, turquoise in colour and a stunning sight. Take a short boat ride to the Island of St. Mary to visit the 12th Benedictine Monastery and the resident donkeys. Tonight you will enjoy a Captain's dinner on board. BLD

DAY 5 MLJET – HVAR
This morning continue to Hvar, the longest and sunniest island in Croatia, it is a regular meeting point for the international jet-set. The island features more UNESCO heritage than any other as well as Europe’s oldest public theatre (outdating Shakespeare’s Globe in England). On the guided tour (included in excursion package) learn why Hvar is a must see on the historical map of Croatia. BL

Note: in peak season (Jul-Aug), due to limited capacity in Hvar harbour, the port of call can be substituted for Stari Grad/Jelsa. In that case transfers by bus will be organised to and from Hvar Town.

DAY 6 HVAR - STARI GRAD
Cruise towards the town of Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in the region founded in 384BC. The town is rich with culture and historical heritage and is a staple in the sailing routes of many navigators sailing in the Adriatic Sea. After lunch, if you have purchased the excursion package, you continue towards a local winery, where you will learn about local winemaking and its history on the island. Enjoy a wine tasting here before heading back to Stari Grad for an evening at leisure. BL

DAY 7 STARI GRAD – BRAC – SPLIT
Continue north to Bol, on the island of Brac, home to the famous Zlatni Rat beach. Enjoy free time here to relax on the beach, swim in the clear waters of the Adriatic, or simply stroll along the coastline. Return to your ship and cruise back to the ancient city of Split. Upon arrival join a guided walking tour that will introduce you to Split’s Old Town, which has evolved from the ruins of the remarkable Diocletian’s Palace (included in excursion package). BL

DAY 8 SPLIT
Your cruise concludes with a group transfer for your onward journey. B
