Istria & the Dalmatian Coast 2021 (Dubrovnik - Porec)

DAY 1 DUBROVNIK
Your cruise commences with an arrival transfer to Dubrovnik port, where embarkation is from 14:00hrs. After settling in to your cabin, meet your fellow passengers and cruise manager for an on-board welcome dinner. D

DAY 2 DUBROVNIK - KORCULA
This morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of Adriatic” and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will visit the stunning Old Town including the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery’s Pharmacy. Enjoy lunch on board as you cruise towards the magical island of Korcula with its fairy-tale like walled town bearing the same name. On arrival you will join a tour to discover the walled city with your local guide. The walking tour takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets and includes a visit to the Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark. Remainder of your day is at leisure until dinner this evening. DAY 3 KORCULA - HVAR - SPLIT
Welcome to Hvar. Croatia’s sunniest island is a favourite holiday destination for international celebrities and yachters; thus, beyond all the glitz and glamour, Hvar town is a charming seaside resort with 8 centuries of architecture waiting to be explored. On a walking tour, breathe in the pine-scented breeze, as you absorb vistas of the Old Town with its picturesque streets and the first public theatre in Europe. Return to your ship and enjoy lunch on-board as you cruise to the central Dalmatian city of Split for a walking tour of the historical centre. See the historic inner city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, where remnants of Split’s Roman heritage can be seen including its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Note: Due to the limited capacity of the Hvar Town harbour (during peak season in July and August) port of call can be substituted for Stari Grad/Jelsa. In that case transfer by bus will be organized to and from Hvar Town.

DAY 4 SPLIT - KRKA NATIONAL PARK - ZADAR
Morning visit of the Krka National Park, with its magnificent waterfalls and scenic trails. Continue to Vodice and re-join your ship for lunch as you cruise to the mainland town of Zadar. On arrival you are free to explore the city which has an exceptional history and rich cultural heritage. B, L

DAY 5 ZADAR - MALI LOSINJ
This morning enjoy a walking tour of Zadar's historical centre, a compact pedestrian zone, perfect to explore on foot as you discover the old walls built in 16th century by Venetians as a defence from Turks. You will also see the 16th century Port Gate where the Venetian lion still guards the entrance, the Square of the Five Wells, Church of St. Donat, the Roman Forum and the largest cathedral in Dalmatia, St. Anastasia. Enjoy a swim stop and a traditional Maraschino liqueur tasting on one of the islands of Zadar. While enjoying lunch on board you will cruise towards Mali Losinj, where your evening is at leisure. Located on the island with the same name. Thanks to its mild climate, pinewoods and air, the island of Mali Losinj is an ideal place to rejuvenate your body and spirit. B, L

DAY 6 MALI LOSINJ - PULA
Marvel at the idyllic surrounds on a relaxing cruise further north towards the Istrian Peninsula with lunch served on board. Arrive this afternoon in Pula, arguably one of the most beautiful Istrian cities. Your guide will share some exciting stories of antiquity, as you walk the footsteps of the ancient Romans and visit the Amphitheatre. This evening enjoy a Captain's dinner with live entertainment. DAY 7 PULA - BRIJUNI NATIONAL PARK - ROVINJ - POREC
Your first stop today will be Brijuni National Park, once the personal State Summer Residence of President Marshal Josip Broz Tito. Explore the national park, a unique harmony of flora, fauna and heritage followed by lunch on board whilst you cruise to the romantic Istrian seaside town of Rovinj. Enjoy a walking tour of the charming Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets, winding to the foot of the Church of St. Euphamia. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travellers at a local restaurant. B, L, D

DAY 8 POREC
Your tour concludes with a transfer to Venice, Pula or Ljubljana airport for your onward journey. B
